Booster Pump System
Purpose
- Boost pressure of water from supply to its recipient.Location (Where is it used)
- Typically found at the top floor of a building to boost water pressure for top few floors of the building.- There is also instances where booster systems are designed to locate at various floors mid way or at ground floor of the building.
What conditions require system
- Pressure from the supply is insufficient.- For typical systems found at roof tank,
-> Water is supplied to the units below by gravity at pressure increase of 1bar for every 10m drop from the source. Lower floors will thus receive sufficient pressure.
-> Static pressure is insufficient for the higher floors due shorter vertical drop distance from the source.
Transfer Pump System
Purpose
- Transfer water from a low level to high level receiver water tank.Location
- Usually located at the ground floor to boost water to the rooftop. What conditions require system
- Normally all high rise requires transfer pump system to boost water up to rooftop.Sump Pump System
Purpose
- Serves to prevent flood in the basement by dewatering water away.Location
- Typically found at basement level. What conditions require system
- When there is a basement level.- It typically comprise of 2 pumps per system with function controlled by 4 float switches.
Ejector Pump System
Purpose
- An ejector system is a system designed to transfer sewage water at basements to the NEA sewage line.- System comprise of a storage tank (ejector tank) to contain and store the waste water entering the system.
- Ejector pumps will transfer the waste materials from the storage tank to the sewage line.
Location
- Typically found at basement level. What conditions require system
- When there is washroom at basement level.
